Leighton (Lee) Scott has developed a magical way of doing scenery modeling that is quicker, easier, and safer than traditional methods. These methods were used at Magic Train World in Greencastle, PA and at a local model railroad club, as well as on private layouts where Lee has worked. Backgrounds Using Just Paint

If the wall behind the train scene will be eventually repainted, texturizing media may not be desired.

I can still produce scenes of great depth using principles I learned from my art training and refined over the years. Typically, you do not want too detailed a background, because that can be distracting to the viewers of what is in front, especially the trains and foreground scenes. Here are some examples of my work.
NOTE: Most have some of my texturized scenery sitting in front of the wall.
